Identity and Access Management (IAM)

Identity and Access Management (IAM) is a term referring to how enterprise IT defines and manages the roles and access privileges of individual network users (customers or employees) and the circumstances in which these users are granted (or denied)  privileges. IAM systems provide administrators with the tools and technologies to change a user’s role, track user activities, create reports on those activities, and enforce policies on an ongoing basis.

Turbonomic supports IAM roles to authorize access to AWS targets.Turbonomic integrates with such IAM services as AWS IAM to create and manage AWS users and use permissions to control their access to AWS resources.
