Latency

Latency is the time it takes for a storage device to reply to a request for data. Charts show the latency experienced by all VMs and hosts that access a given datastore.

In Turbonomic, latency is expressed as a commodity that can be bought and sold. For a given datastore, there is no real capacity for Latency, but Turbonomic assigns a default storage latency capacity of 100ms.
