Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI)

Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI) is a Microsoft-provided service which runs in the Guest OS of a VM. Turbonomic uses it to understand which applications are running on Windows computing systems, and to understand their resource consumption.

(6.4 version family, only) Turbonomic uses WMI to create and name application instances, stitch the named instances to the given VM, and feed per-application resource consumption to Turbonomic.
